While our guys are out in the field working hard, we have another team working equally as hard in the office ensuring Unique Companies runs like a well oiled machine. From CAD Design to Office Management and from Warranty Resolutions to Marketing Solutions, our office staff is friendly, hardworking and here to make sure all project requirements and needs are handled thoroughly and professionally from start to finish. Enjoy a little bio on each of our office staff members:
Charles Daye, Construction and Warranty Manager – Charles has 15+ years in the Pool and Landscape industry. He started off in the industry as a sales designer, and then decided to get more of an understanding of the construction side of the industry, so he became a field superintendent. The past few years he has been a project manager working out of the office full time. Working on the sales and construction side of the industry has benefited Charles greatly, especially when it comes to working with our customers, and when it comes to understanding the different aspects of our projects. He has been an employee with Unique since 2009, and like a couple of our other employees, is from the Midwest. Charles handles all of the warranty for Unique, reviews all contracts and designs, and prepares all job files so they are ready for construction. Charles also coordinates all swimming pools from start to finish, and assists in the coordination of the landscaping.
Daris Dewberry, Landscape and Pool Design Specialist / CAD Drafter – Daris has been designing custom landscapes in the valley for over 15 years. He obtained degrees in Architectural Design and CAD certification through Mesa Community College. In addition, he has earned the title of “Certified Desert Landscaper” by the Phoenix Botanical Gardens, by completing their highly recommended desert landscape program. Daris has a sincere passion and desire to create desert landscapes that are both pleasing to the customers as well as sustainable for our desert environment. He completed an intern program through a well know landscape company in the Ahwatukee area and has also designed pools for one of the major pool builders in the Phoenix area. Daris is originally from Ann Arbor Michigan where he attended the University of Michigan. His studies included Engineering and Spanish. He moved to Arizona in 2000 and fell in love with the desert terrain. His love of the outdoors and desert plant life led him to pursue his interest in designing outdoor living environments. Daris is married with 3 children, 7 year old twin boys and a 5 year old daughter. The pure joy of seeing his family enjoy the beautiful outdoor desert environment is one of the many reasons why he has such a passion for creating outdoor living spaces.
Pamela Rambus, Accounts Payables / Purchasing / Contract Management – Pamela has over 15 years in the accounting business. She attended ASU and graduated with a degree in Accounting. She wears many hats at the company and is vital to many of the day to day operations of Unique. She is also originally from Massachusetts (lots of Patriots fans in the office!). Pamela is the proud mom of a Great Dane (when stands, he’s 6’3″ tall) named Kane!
Bonny Piscione, Marketing Manager, Sales Support, Graphic Design– Bonny brings a wide range of experience to Unique. She has over 15 years experience in marketing and advertising. She has a strong background in graphic and web design as well as corporate branding and small business management. Bonny’s professional and personal goals are nearly identical – be honest, have fun, communicate clearly and never stop learning.
Juan Yepiz, Superintendent – Juan has been with the company the longest, going all the way back to 2001! Juan oversees all of our crews and keeps operations rolling out in the field. He’s Chris’s right hand man and the liaison between all departments and customers.
Eric Hengehold, Superintendent – Eric grew up in Northern California and attended San Jose State University and studied sociology. There, he played baseball and went on to play with the San Francisco Giants organization. He made the move to Arizona a few years ago and transitioned into the landscape business. During his off time he enjoys boating and hanging out at home with my wife and dogs.
Shelly Richards, Controller – Shelly is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
